Hey guys,

Got another one for you since I don't know much about car audio still. LOL

Anyways, today my front right speaker just stopped producing sound. So I took it in, and they fixed it saying a wire was loose or somethign to that effect. Anyways, I used the fader to test all the speakers to make sure everything sounded good. It did, but I noticed I only hear/feel my subs when I have the left side speakers on. No bass what so ever when the right speakers are on. I was wondering if this is how it is suppoused to be or the wireing is messed up or something. Common sense told me maybe the sub on that side wasn't wprlong, but I went back in the trunk and it looked good to me.

Thanks again for your help!

It could be that one of the RCA's going to your sub amp came undone or the shop just didn't plug it in. It could be either behind your head unit or on the amp itself. Start there.
Thanks, I will take it back in tomorow then and have them look at it. I will let you know what they say.

dont depend on a shop to teach you about your gear.

your sub has it's on output called -sub preout

your speakers has front/rear output,

you need to pull your head unit out to see how they hooked it up.

read the manual, is will guide you step by step on how to hook it up.

so if they didnt do it right, you can fix there mistakes.

it has sub woofer level adjustments,

bass center ferquency,

all kinds of goody

learn our gear

i use to feel the same way, if you read your manual you will learn a lot about your gear.

all head unit mostly have the same basic set up---/positive +wire/negative-wire/remote wire/ground wire/rca-front/rca-rear/sub-preout, ipod

all of the wires & rca's have lables on them, so you wont wire stuff wrong.

what i'm saying it that if you feel the shop is not doing it right, then maybe you need to take care of it yourself.

you can also call alpine tech support up & they will walk you through so you may feel a more comfortable about playing with your head unit.
