Nike's are extremely cheaply made shoes that are priced astronomically, as are all of the top brand shoes (adidas, UA, Ree, etc). I still buy some when I get them for a good price and usually wear them for years. Also, the Free Run shoes don't squeek or anything and hold up really well considering the materials used to make them. For actual running, I've been using Asics for the past 10 years or so.
None of my nikes ever did this until I got my first, now my last pair of jordans (about 4 months old but worn like 10 times). They are comfy but drive me crazy with the squeaking
