Newer iPod Compatibility Question (with older iPod supported stereos)

I have a Sony CDX-GT610Ui CD/MP3 In Dash Receiver and I`m wondering if this older deck that supports the ipods up until it was manufactured would support the newest ipods that just came out... as seen at Apple (Canada)

You would just need to make sure you have the right software version on the nano

Oh I thought it came down to specifics on the iPod model.. didnt know it was the firmware version that mattered.

yeah it does you just have to find out which version is compatible then download then you should be good to go
