aftermarket paint and I didn't do it so I'm not sure. doesn't matter it's coming off hopefully over the winter and i'm doing a candy/pearl paintjob myself.

it was originally black. whoever DID do this paint job didn't do a very maticulous job, and left the door jams and hinges original color lol.

but when i do it i'm going to do a teardown of all the interior since it's stored for winter and i don't have to drive it. then comes the lowering. then comes the system. then comes redoing the interior to match the paint. then comes the new convertible top to match. then i get to redo the electrical. then i get to put a bigger motor in it. too much i want to do to it, and it's kind of a shame that i'm doing it to such a rare one, but that's why I bought it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

i only ask because they painted a bug at the shop, looks like that color. It was two toned pearl white/silver but being that he wanted the original look. The white wasnt a pearl and looked like a cream and the silver was a grey non-metalic lol. Go figure.

And i know how u feel, all i need is a guy from work to come out and fix my sunroof and look at my electrical. Then off to the body shop i drive her to do who knows how many hours of body work on it. Piss coat the car/jambs/dash/interior trim with single stage. Hopefully all looks good, then comes the bc/cc. This car is gonna look sexy Daytona Blue //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif . Will be gettin ghost emlems side/hood modelings shaved and everything thats chrome eventualy powder coated black. Maybe next years tax returns will come the new motor...

yeah i'm going to shave my handles along with trunk and hood latches, other than that i'm pretty much leaving the body alone. shaving the bumpers too. i like the look of the slammed beetles with no bumpers at all so that's what i'm doing to it.

as for paint, i plan on doing a paint scheme like this...

but with my own colors and own personal twists. being that i paint cars for a living, i feel it would be pretty lazy of me to just be like "um yeah bc/cc and we'll call it a day" lol so i'm going to go pretty 'extreme' with the paintjob.
