Never heard about that... my family has always had great luck with them...I have been scared of the 700's ever since, you know, they killed a bunch of people because of a faulty safety. Not only that but the fact it would have cost like $0.03 per gun to fix it and Remington decided not to and then more people died...

If you get the chance "Remington Under Fire" is a documentary that was done recently which covers it pretty well. Before I seen that show, I was at the gun range and actually heard "Remington Moment" be yelled and then a shot fired. He pulled the trigger and nothing happened, the second he touched the bolt, the gun fired...
