Stupid is as stupid does
Just installed an 18" Death Row in the X5

Runnin on about 1800 watts

Box is six cubes tuned to 34hz

Right now the box is not to my likeing (3"wide port firing to the side)

Thing slams good w/ gains halfway...More than that and you can here the coil hitting the back plate

Any ideas on how I can feed it more power w/o bottoming it out? (differemt porting options?)

Here's a couple crappy pics....short vid

Nice set up and ride.
Thanks

It sounded a little better in the Navigator it was in before

Mainly beacuse there was room to turn the box 45 degrees which made it sound much better...

My next task is to plug up the slot port and run two six inch aeros firing to the rear.

I think I may have a bit too much power for this size box (6 cubes)

Maybe the increased port area will help the damping...?

Any imput?

Making the box slightly smaller will help out on the power handling a little bit.

Looks like you are utilizing about 9.5^2" of port per cube. I generally aim for about 12-15^2" per cube when box building. IA is right, if you shrink the box a little (down to around 5 cubes net) you should have better power handling.
