New to Ipod... ????

Well after my first day at my new job, I was informed that I can listen to music all day if I want, if I use something like an IPod. It sure would make my day go much better, so I went to the local stores, and I realized I know nothing at all about IPod. They were also sold out of almost everything due to the Holiday season just passing.

Anyway, I am a SQ nut in car and home audio, so I am looking for a great sounding IPod. I would not mind FM capability as well just to mix things up. Can anyone recomend an IPod I should buy? Lets say for now budget is not an issue, but I seriously do not need a 30GB one lol Its just to fill some 9 hour days at work.

Well am I right that IPod is the trademark name for Apple? So really what I am asking for is the best sounding player that can play MP3's.

I got a free I-POD shuffle in the mail for free 2 days ago. Camel cigarettes sent me one in the mail for being such a good customer.

yeah "ipod" is a brand name.... its the best imo because they are so popular, the accessories, addons, and whatnot are pretty much endless

Yep, I have a Cowon iAudio X5L. The battery life is amazing, easy to use, awesome interface, and plug & play, meaning there's no need to have to sync it with a library likes iPods make you do with iTunes. My X5L is the best mp3 player i've ever owned, plus you can find them cheaper than a similar capacity iPod.

itunes sucks so bad i just stopped adding music to mine. the only thing for me keeping the ipod is the car integration

Yes you can use it a Video and MP3, AAC, CDA, what ever you like, Just use Linux OS and your set. You can check any IPOD Magazine that ahows you how.

Don't get a Zuni cause MicroShit made sure you can't with theres.
