Buy a single sub. Like a Sundown SA-12 D4. Then get a amp that will put out about 1200 Watts at one ohm. The sub will run at 2 ohms and receive ~600 watts. Maybe a MB quartz 1500D. Then add a 2nd sub when you get the money. Or a SSA Dcon 12" D4 then get a amp that will put out about 600-800 at one ohm. The same thing here, this will allow you to buy a better sub, - and end up with a better system. Don't forget that you need a box for the sub and a wiring kit. Can you install this your self? Can you build a box? One last point, most companies have one type of products that they are great at. Like Kenwood and Pioneer make great HU's. but not so good at subs and amps. Good luck, Duane
