Message: <blockquote data-quote="johnwohl" data-source="post: 4272943" data-attributes="member: 589014">i changed my sub out today for a new re audio se 12 and got nothing. its a 4ohm dvc so i wired the voice coils up for 2 ohms since my amp is 500wrms @ 2 ohm, and confirmed correct at 2ohm with a multimeter.i then connected the sub to the terminals and verified 2 ohm on the outside terminals. satisfied that I have it connected properly I fired everything up and got nothing but a faint hum from the sub. i verified the sub is getting power. i had the gain turned down a bit but it was still showing about 20v at the terminals. the cone was going nowhere.any ideas what's wrong here? it's supposedly a new sub. i got it from audio-club on ebay which other people I know have had success with.</blockquote>
