What makes this amp different (performance wise) then the 6500 or the 10k?

its a completely different amp, different parts/board. Its a whole nother beast. 1 of these = about 4 6500d's.. These are still for sale btw...

I was sponsored by SS back in the day when the 6500s first came out. They were kinda lousy on 12 volt. How does the 15k do on 12v?

The 15K's don't do as well on 14V as they will on 18V, and as Grizz will say, they recommend at least 8-10 batteries per amp. They are said to be a lot better than the 6500's and 10K's. These ones have a chance to actually make the power they are rated for, unlike the 6500's and 10K's.

The 6500s did it's rated power at 16v but the 10k didn't. I'm trying to find a "real" competitor who uses the 15k.

no, thats what the guy at SBN thats using them told me. Grizz also told me this as well. I do not know of any real testing thats been done. I also have access to the PPI 10ks if anyone is interested.
