Yes, the Retro-Sound unit is what I'm going with. However, the specific face plate for my year of truck is on back order until February, so the retailers will not ship the units until the face plates are in stock. I have a hole in my dash already for a stock style radio and the interior is painted, so I'm not going to go back and fill the hole now, repaint it, etc., just to put a hidden head unit in. I want to utilize the factory cutouts, which the Retro Sound unit will achieve. I also do not want an empty hole in my dash where the original radio would have gone. I can run with no radio until the units ship, or I can find a way to run a system until I get my new head unit. The Clarion EQ linked above may be my best option, unless anyone else has a better idea? It could easily be sold afterwards to recoup the out of pocket costs now.
