New ride?

Minivans arent quite as embarrassing as they used to be. They are actually built very well now. And they have all the options available on most luxury cars and good gas mileage. Plus I bet youre less likely to get pulled over. Im sure if a cop hears a system hes going to single out the mini-van. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif I say go for it.

Chances are you are going to keep this car for awhile. I wouldn't get this car just because it has lots of room for stereo stuff, you can put a nice system in almost any car. Since you are starting college and going to be in the real world, you are going to need a good daily driver that isn't gonna have little things come up here and there all time....and seriously a minivan? Are you going to need all that room? Probably not...

I don't think saying no to a free, relatively new car would be a good idea, but what's wrong with your old vehicle?

Still just a mini-van though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

My parents both have completely loaded Honda Odysseys. Dad's is a '99 and Mom's is an '03.

I think they're extremely ugly on the outside but inside? Those are durn nice rides and I don't care what anyone else thinks about them. Dad has plenty of room to haul his fishing gear around and it still stay dry (and the V6 has more than enough Oomph to pull his 17ft bass boat) as well as plenty of room for people when he wants to do that.

Minivans may be dorkmobiles like stated by jmanpc but they are unendingly handy dorkmobiles...

I love minivans for their room. They're extremely handy. I know they're dorkmobiles, but functionally, they're very useful. As for a car, that's out of the picture. I hate driving cars. I like driving pickups, vans and SUV's. I just love having room. Yes, I plan to drive it into the ground... and if I'm going to do just that, then I could see why it could have it's drawbacks, but I think it's a very nice ride.

If thats how you feel, then I think you should take your dad up on the offer:woot:

LOL!!! That in itself is a good idea!!! GO for it dude! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Dude take the minivan u can lay back the rear seats and get laid in the van if it ever came down to it,
Cargo vans will always trump the minivan in this regard - I have enough room for a full-size single air mattress, a weekend's worth of camping gear, and a reasonably sized subwoofer enclosure and not feel cramped for space. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Not like I've done that...
