New project! what could it be?

got drivers door glassed just a few min ago. lettin it dry then takin it back off to do the bodywork and getting it to mold to the door flush hopefully heh. first time building a door pod like this so im learning.

Thanks for the pics, I love looking at other peeps builds...

Couple of questions...

1. Are those door speakers going to have enough airspace behind them???

2. Whats up with all the 2x4s? I've never seen anyone employ 2x4s for a build...

 
u screw the pod on from the back of the door panel. if u glass everything while the door panel is on the panel will not be able to warp and will fit just like it would have without the pod on it. as for the air space we will find out. can always use polyfill or cut out the back of the pod and door panel to allow for more space.

as for the 2x4's question. every big build i have done so far has been done with 2x4s. its alot cheaper to do than doing a bunch of layers of mdf. a 2x4 on its side will not flex after a layer of mdf is glued and screwed to it. should be pretty **** strong.
