New ported box for XXX

The fiberglass box I built a few weeks ago for my 12"xxx, basically ******. It was too small and was not nearly loud enough. This is the box I built last night. It is 2.47 ft^3 tuned to 33.2Hz with 48in^2 of port area. When I first put it in, I had it in the very back with the sub pointing up, and it sounded decent. Then I put the seats down and pointed the subs back, it's seriously like twice as loud. This thing sounds so good now. When I first put it in that sealed box I was definitely bummed cause my POS xplods I had before were louder. But now I'm stoked with this sub and my Nine.1. Oh yeah, take it easy on me for the fabric, I couldn't find regular box carpet anywhere, and this stuff was 5 bucks a yard at Wal Mart.

Here's the false floor I built last night. I think I'm gonna put plexi-glass over the amp, with like vinyl around the edges because there is a gap around the amp.

Haha, Yeah, it's a little too much for me. I think this weekend I'm gonna redo it in black or silver (to match the car) vinyl. I was just gonna try the leopard just to see how it would look; but it's a little too wanna be pimp.

Great job on the install, but yes, I would change the covering if I were you...although it's kind of flashy.
