New Place

Well I finally moved out (at 20) to a town house in Ocean Beach with my bro and his old roomates. 4 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath right next the beach, and about 2 min from Sea World! Kinda expensive (2600/mo) but worth it because the location can't be beaten.

The downside:

Ugly annoying neighbors.

No parking for friends/people for parties.

Planes fly nearby, kinda loud but i'm used to it already.

The upside:

Firework show from Sea World every night @ 10!

our rent is 500 per month....we rent from one of my roomates parents.

I'm interested in what NY rent is like. I know Cali is pretty **** rediculous as well. Rent for 1-2 bedroom monthly here I could rent a house on some part of the east coast no problem.

if so....ouch!!!

The huge 4 bedroom house me and 4 other friends are going in on at the start of August is only $325 a person + Utilities a month

yea it amazes me how hight it is here. I would say 900-1200 is average for 1-2 bedroom apartment. I know in NC and TX I could rent a 3-4 bedroom house for that much and have some left over. It pissed me off because of all the tech industries here so they think everyone is rich. Cost of living is not balance with minimum wage at all here.
