new photos, analyze *56k DIAF*

I'm looking at the copyright on the pics, I'm hoping YOU are david wilkes? If so, nice color balance on both, very rich. My only thought, and it's only a preference, is the depth of field is a little too shallow for me, more in the first shot. I don't know if it's possible with the dimage macro to alter that or not. My Nikon in advanced mode lets you have control over all aspects of the camera. If you just got it, you're off to a great start. Try some in native B&W to check contrast levels.

Very nice photos, of flowers. hint, hint.
i bought it for convience, and the photo quality is not excellent (compared to my elan) as shown by the pictures, espeecially the 2nd one. yes u can change the DOF on this dimage, but its just for taking family photos. once i get my slide adapter i'll embarrass these haters with slide film photos. i appreciate the CONTRUCTIVE criticism. i'll try out every thing 2maro and i'll check back

I took these with my Dimage Z1....

imo, the cactus is distracting. i looks like it was just placed there to show that the image is square. since obviously u don't live out there....i hope not at least....it cannot be changed but just a suggestion

i cant count how many of those cactuses there are within seeing range from my house

I'm not quoting the pics, they're huge!

i REALLY like the water drop! Now that I look at it closer, I can see YOU in it!

MAYBE a little more surface ambient light on the first one for texture.

I'll take the exif on those, pm me.

Like the plant too. Focus and DOF are good there. You can tell everything about the leaf texture and detail, so it doesn't have to show on all, on the center leaf while the others fall off far enough to show structure and support.

suggestions on the water drop?

i think the water droplets look fckin leet, thats tight man.
