new owner of...

umm? model is a d51r i do believe... going in my honda civic for a starter battery.

and yes i have read threads on "red compared to yellow" for starter... but the optima site states that if running a 1 battery system (which i am currently) a yellow top is the best, the red being the best starter battery for a multiple battery system.

yeah that is the brick-like batt that my acura rsx had in it, i took out the plastic battery tray and had just enough room to fit the g34 yellow top in and still use the factory bracket.

Just thought i'd share with you all the fact that im a proud owner of a OPTIMA YELLOW TOP! been having battery troubles so i decided fawk it and bought one. got it for $146.79 at autozone. w00t. Now to do the big 3 with some 1/0
Size?

so if your running 2 batteries, a red top is good in the rear?

ya i had to make the same decision this weekend and went with the red top since im going to be running a kinetik in the back. and the red top was cheaper 139 dollars.

I hated my yellow top until I upgraded my alt. charge wire

when doing the big 3.

apparently my factory charge wire wasnt doing crap.

and barely gave off enough juice to keep yellow top charged all the time.

now that I have upgraded wires - my yellow top is got a much better resting voltage on it.

( that and maby cuase I beat the crap out of it now, and it has a good couple of cycles on it

and is getting propper recharge rate now also )

Yea, The Red is better for a STARTER battery if USING ANOTHER BATTERY for your accessories (i think this is what i read?). The Yellow is a good STARTER battery if in a ONE battery setup... so i got the yellow, and if i decide to go with another, i will just buy a red top and throw er in the engine bay and move the yeller to the trunk. Now to do the BIG 3... just need some cheap 1/0... fast

its a good battery. Had one in the sunfire, mustang, s-10, and now the jeep. Only reason my first one died was cause the mustang caught fire.
Well that is a pretty good reason at least lol. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif If it lasted through the fire it'd been a ****ing terminator battery or something.
