not really. I am pretty sure the 45nm chips are the last for the socket 775.

Indeed, Nehalem will use a new socket ...
Plus, despite using the same socket, Intel has a habit of fvcking you over if you have a non-Intel chipset as far as upgrades go.

I need to upgrade soon too. My x2 4400 just aint cutting it anymore. I have been out of the loop for a couple months as far what Intel has out or coming out. Time to do some reading I guess.
