Hello

I have been driving my 2010 WRX for a couple years. A couple long years of poor sound. Be it from rattles in the doors, or questionable components I am not sure, but time for a change.

So I start by thinking I need speakers. So I research and determine that there is no point in doing speakers unless I replace HU as well. So if I have done that, then I need an amp to drive the speakers. But since I need to go to the trouble of running power and RCAs then I might as well get a sub as well.

Oh man all of sudden my speaker replacement has turned into a $1500 audio overhaul.

My wife no longer sees me at night as I spend hours trying to research what I need.

I may be addicted.

I have installed a couple Head units in old cars a number of years ago. Once to replace a tape player with a CD player and once to replace a CD player with something that would take my iPhone.

So I am okay with doing basic head unit installs (although it takes me way longer than it should).

I am excited about spending some money on new gear for my WRX and looking forward to installing it myself.

Jeff.
