New member Here with a few questions

Hi there everyone, after searching for audio forums all over and lurking for weeks I think i've found a home.

On to the questions. I have MB quart PVI216 speakers in my Infiniti G35 coupe and the problem im having is that my rear panels that house the 6.5s are all open (when the speaker is mounted with the MDF ring the rear of the speaker is fully open to the rest of the car. now this causes a problem for my mid-bass. What do you recomend I do to try and get some mid-bass out of these speakers? At the moment there's absolutly none being produced.

Here's a pic of what I am talking about the red around the speaker ring is the area where there is a space where i can put 1 or 2 fingers in between where air can escape causing the speakers front and rear to be all in one chamber.

Maybe just gets some pods to drop in or build your own to house the speaker. Cant really tell where the air would be coming from.

Oh and I roam parts close to you from time to time in Beaumont, its where I was born

The air comes out where i edited the picture and put the red lines around the bracket. i couldnt find a better picture. But yeah we have hotels in and around beaumont. 9/10 times im in beaumont jacking around lol

I'd say drop in a sealed pod for the speaker then, or just try to fill in that space with foam or something.

I'll be moving back down there here before to long, I cant wait, I honestly hate it up here.

i got bondo and kinda just formed it around the opening and that sealed it up well, I probably have about .5 cuft of volume but i think thats close to what the speaker wants.
