Hi everyone. I have used the site to help me with a couple installs in the past, but never joined until now. I am definitely a beginner at car audio. In high school and college I installed a number of subs/speakers/HUs but recently I started working on upgrading my factory system in my F150. I am keeping the stock head unit so I am using the Kicker ZXSUM8 for processing/LOC, Rockford 4x75w Prime powering 4 Alpine Type R 6x8s in the doors, a JL W3V3 8" in their ported box, alpine mrv-500 running at 4 ohms 300w, and sound deadener/ensolite on all the flooring and all 4 doors. I look forward to talking with everyone and learning more about car audio in general!

Nice! Always glad to see locals. Do you guys purchase much local? I have noticed prices seem pretty high locally. I mean higher than normal for local audio shops that is.

I never purchase from a shop. Ill never pay a shop's prices. Locally, I try craigslist and even stop by local pawn shops once in a while. Sometimes you can get lucky and find some good gear at pawn shops. I also have some buddies that I do trading/buying with

Just avoid Bragg Pawn they will **** you in a heart beat.
