a guy came into my work today that i used to work with. After talking for awhile he brought up that he had gotten a system in his car. And he was telling me about all his subs and crap and he told me he put subs under the seats in the back and all this bs.. then i asked what kinda subs and he said kenwood.. and i was like oh thats cool yunno whatever.. and then he was telling me about how they are like the best subs.. and i was like no offense man but kenwood doesnt exactly make the best subwoofers.. and he was like nah this is some new sub they just made and hasnt even hit shelves yet.. and its got some huge magnet and yada yada.. well i'm pretty sure the guy is a compulsive liar, but just out of curiosity i looked up some stuff and did find kenwood was releasing a subwoofer that was $1000 and $800 retail (12" and 10" respectively), and supposed to take up to 2000 wrms. He told me he'd paid 900 for his sub and that it was better than a w7. Then i asked how he got some huge subs under the seats and he said no those are different subs, the big ones are in the trunk.. he said he had 6 total. Now i dont think the guy has any car audio knowledge whatsoever, but he said he got all his stuff from a friend of his audio shop.. so i guess its possible, although i dunno cus he lies a lot i think.. and on the kenwood site the subs dont even have an official release date yet..
