New installation! quite abit of ICE, need some direction :)

Hello there everyone!

Im new on the forum and hope i can be of assistance to alot of people as i am an AV installer albeit mainly at a commercial level.

However i am NOT clued on on ICE, and have a little bit of it at my disposal to fit in my astra van, therefor im after some help off you lot!

I have a :

pioneer HU

2 x pioneer 6 x 9s (fitted in boxes over rear arches)

1 x 12" FLi active box (just bought yesterday so running it in super easy)

1 x 10inch celestion (with a 10"box) this was the sub i replaced with the FLi

1 x JBL amp 300w 2 channel i think!

Also i think i am going to purchase another single 12" FLi box today, although ill need an RCA splitter too won't i? And posssibly a power cap??

My main questions are:

Will i be able to use all of the equipment (i.e running a 10" and 12" at the same time)? and if so, how would i go about it!

How is it best to position a sub in a astra van? i.e. sub facing the side of the van or facing into the free space etc

How is it best to set up my pioneer HU so the sub sounds its best (lots of sub frequency settings, 50,63,80 etc and how do these settings correspond with the settings on the back of the active box (gain, freq and bass boost)

I eagerly await your replies as id like to get sorted as quick as possible, im just sat in our workshop messing with my van today!

I would go with 2 of the same subs personally unless you plan on getting a amp for each sub.

I don't know what amp you are referring to. 300w x 2 channel? have a model number?

What are the specs of the subs in question? are they 2 ohm, 4 ohm? DVC? Model number?

What kind of RCA connections does your HU have? Model number?

I'm like a broken record with this model number thing. Sorry. Unless we know what equipment you have or what that equipment can do, It's hard to suggest anything.

Subs: FLi 12" active (FT12?)

Celestion 10" (4ohm i think) sub with a JBL GT5-A 3001 powering it (That is the model number printed onto the amp, although a google search says its a monoblock amp it mine most definitely isn't! i have just bridged the channels to power the sub, it has no power rating on it but i thinki it was 300w bridged, sorry to be vague! it looks exactly like this one CLICK HERE

This pic is the back of my van, you can see where both of the subs are sat, im thinking now of removing the celestion sub ( the box on the left hand side) and building another tool shelf and placing another 12" FLi trap ontop of it. So basically the sides will be symmetrical!

This is the Celestion 10" (this box has the JBL amp screwed to the back of it! unfortunately i can't take a pic without unfixing the box)

@ Randpost, no that is not the amp! Bit weird really as the actual model number is printed on the amp as GT5 A3001, yet it clearly isn't that model! Bizzare!

well, went and bought another 12" active sub, fitted it and they sound alright, not too sure what to set the settings on the head unit at though!
