New In-dash HU suggetions....

But the two that I am looking at buying are:

Kenwood kvt-817

Kenwood kvt-819

one is the 07 and the other is the 08...

anyone have or had any of these models, let me know how you like them etc.

which one do you think is better?

also, is it possible to go active with a dvd in-dash?

I think im leaning towards the 819, but it doesn't have the eq/tuning the 817 has... but the 817 is older... hmmmmmm

what do you mean by go active?

also are stuck on Kenwood dvd players...they dont have the best picture quality and they have the tendency to have realiability problems

a few other brands i suggest are eclipse clarion alpine and pioneer. they all offer a better screen and a better overall unit

yea, had a ddx6019 and screen looked good... Plus am a kenwood fan, alpine too but like the excelons better...

going active, meaning doing an active front stage...
