Hi everyone! Happy to be here! I just bought a 2018 Camry XSE and am excited to put a system in it. I'm hoping to put a sundown x8 or sd10 or 12 in a custom fiberglass enclosure in the corner of my trunk. I have no idea what I'm doing so hopefully I can learn here. Any suggestions for maximum bass with minimal space, let me know. Thanks everyone.

Not sure if those pics work, I've never posted a pic on a forum. I tried 2 ways just in case. It has the red leather interior with the moon roof. I'll take some more pics tomorrow. Any recommendation for some subs that don't take up my whole trunk?

It looks nice ..I like that color combo ..Do a pair of quality ported 8s they don’t take up too much room and are always impressive when setup right ..run between 1000-1500rms to the pair

Thanks! Are you talking in a ported box or do you think I can do the fiberglass boxes in the corners behind the taillights. I've never heard any subs in the fiberglass enclosures but I assume it's nothing as loud as a ported box. I was hoping a quality sub would still bump in the small fiberglass enclosure.

What type of music do you like ?

Mainly rap and a little of everything else. I love bass, used to have four 15s two 12s and a 10 in my room. Literally shook my whole house and would unscrew light bulbs. BUT with this setup I'm trying to stay practical, but I want as much bass as I can get without taking up my trunk. I understand my windshield isn't going to be flexing lol. Again I'm open to all suggestions except a huge ported box. Maybe I could live with a sealed box flushed against the back of the back seats or a smaller ported box with 1-2 x-8s. BUT if it's possible to get good bass from a tucked away fiberglass enclosure, that's what I want.

You’ll definitely want to go ported then ..sealed will never get you the bass you’ll want best setup is rear fire subs ..and side fire port with room to load ..two 8s take about 2 cu ft plus port 2 10s about 3cu ft plus port or two 12s about 4 cu ft plus port ..with single subs had the amount

I have sundown sa-8's and they have been great for me. I would just figure out with the space you have what subs can you get the most come area with. For me 8's made more sense. If you did go sa-8 I would definitely go larger than a 1000 watt RMS amp. After box rise you won't be anywhere near RMS and they seem to like more than RMS.

The Sundown SD-8's are awesome little subs that do well in less than .5 cubic ft per sub. They would fit the bill for your fiberglass enclosure build. These are in the back pocket of a 2017 Tacoma. I agree that ported is going to give you bigger sound though, in which case these aren't the subs your looking for.
