Hi im new here i have a 2002 f-350 crew cab and going to be doing a system soon im so far doing 2 JL 10" W1's with JL JX10001/D for speakers gonna do alpine trpe-R's SPR-60 6.5s but what amp to run them? was thinking Rockford fosgate PRIME R600-4D or Rockford Fosgate T600-4 POWER which one u guys think?

the head unit will be Pioneer DEH-P7400HD.

first the bass amp is way too much power for those subs,also consider some better speakers up frt ,components will do nicely.you'll also need to do the big 3 on the electrical and maybe replace the stock battery with a agm battery

I dont know a lot about this stuff trying not to spend a crap ton but want it to sound a lot better then it does now stock.

id rather not do components they seem much more diffcult to wire and put in.

battery is a brand new interstate plus it is a diesel so i have 2 batteries if that makes a difference.

what else needs to be done on the electrical side of things?

a 500 watt rms amp should be fine,or get better subs ,the components are not that hard to install,also the big 3 and your good

i have to have a sub that will fit in a box with thses 2 specs, Air Space = .60 cubic foot Per Sub, Mounting Depth = 5.25"

will the components make that big of a difference from the others with the tweeter on the speaker already?

yes the components will ,that prime amp is junk and a waste of your money,also consider amping the speakers too.there are some speakers here for you to look at American Bass - SL 104 i can give you a price too.

next question setting gains, the calculator in the link here: http://www.caraudio.com/forums/car-audio-reference-database/534215-how-set-gains-dmm.html will this work for amp for speakers too? Is this something u should do with speaker amp too?
