New Head Unit or Components?

I'm trying to decide on what to get or at least what to get first, New headunit or speakers? Here's the thing. My headunit, in my sig, is starting to get somewhat faulty. It turns off for no reason, screen turns black out of nowhere, ect. Its not horrible but I can see its starting to go. Also it only has a 3 band parametric EQ and I want the Kenwood DDX812 which has a 13 band graphic along with T/A and lots of other goodies. My Premier deck has only been able to get my harsh Infinity Perfects to sound so good. The Perfects do well on some music, don't get me wrong, but the harshness of the tweets is starting to wear on my ears. So I really want to get some new Components too. I'm between the Morel Hybrid Ovation, Dotech Ovation, or Focal K2P's. I know all of those will most likely blow away the Perfects or at least I am hoping. So should I get a new deck with some better EQ'ing capabilities to make my Infinity Perfects sound better...or should I get new component speakers and keep my deck and my new speakers will sound better all by themselves...what should I do???? thanks

Hell....me personally, I'd replace both... used to run the Infinity Perfects, and no matter what I did, the tweeters were just way too harsh for my liking. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Get the deck first.....

You said you were having electrical problems with it, if it goes and fries any speakers, better that they are the old ones.

BTW, send me your old perfects as a thank-you?

If it were me I would replace the deck first.

Hell yeah, it can fry them. Easily. But is is rare.
