Hey guys, looks like a great site you have going here! I hope to eventually learn enough through you guys to be able to help here in return down the road!!! Any-hoo, I am having a problem with my system that I was hoping that some one here could help me with. My amp keeps blowing the amp fuses. They were originally 2x20A and I bumped them up to 2x30A (I know not to smart). Anyway I can play the amp all day under a moderate load, but once I turn it loud enough to get some serious bass, it cuts both fuses. Here is exactly what I am running: [headbang] AMP: PHOENIX GOLD OCTANE R5.0:1 [headbang] Type Component Amplifier Type Mono Channel RMS Power at 4 ohms (Watts x Channels) 200 x 1 RMS Power at 2 ohms (Watts x Channels) 400 x 1 Bridged RMS Power Not Bridgeable Peak Power Output 500 watts Frequency Response 20 - 350 Hz THD at Rated RMS Power Signal to Noise Ratio 90 dB Built in Crossover Yes (LP) Low Pass Crossover 30 - 300 Hz Low-Pass Slope (dB/octave) 18 dB 18 dB Subsonic Filter 20 - 55 Hz Bass Boost 0 - 15 dB Bass Boost Frequency 45 Hz Min.
