i'd get the JL 8W7, Kicker will give you no SQ, just pure nasty bass. and the 8W7 is a awesome sub, here is a vid of it in action. and throw it in a built ported box, and you'd be jamming in no time.

I just heard the L5 12 and the L7 12 and they sound very good in the boxes they were in.
