Message: <blockquote data-quote="Sierra Nate" data-source="post: 8709785" data-attributes="member: 673019"><p>I missed this part of your question.  The Pioneer will allow for Apple CarPlay or Android Auto.  You press and hold the phone button and it will launch which ever iOS or Android app you're using and you can speak whatever commands your phone uses (Siri or google Gidget).  Your phone must be conn etched by USB wire for Android Auto to work.  I do not know if the same is true for Apple CarPlay.  If the phone is connected by BT then all you get is the basic voice control...I think it is something like "Dial 123-7548" or "Call <name of someone in the phone book stored on the head unit>"</p></blockquote><p></p>
