New Car New System Time, Would Love Some Rec's

hello, I just bought a brand new subaru impreza 4door sedan 2013, and it's time to build a new system. I sold my old system with my old car, it was 2 MTX sledgehammer 8500s and a monoD amp by them that I can't remember. I was never impressed with the old system, it could have been the enclosure because i could barely fit them in my dodge neon 02 trunk.

I did what most noobs did first and went to car toys etc....and they were pushing the W7s on me as expected. What I'm looking for is really loud bass that makes it hard to breathe that doesnt sound distorted. My budget is 2ish grand, and that hopefully includes sub(s), a LCD nav headunit, amp, box, wiring etc. I also want 2 2-way component speakers for my front and 2 speakers for my rear doors, but that may come later/extra budget.

I bought my last system around 5 years ago, so I'm really out of the game and could use some advice please. I know these posts prolly pop up 20 times a day, but I saw you guys were nice and usually answered so I figured I'd give it a go. I also had in my head 2 12s, but don't know if that still is "ideal" nowadays.

Thanks.

That's a nice budget.. we can help you out the whole way, just need to know a couple more things, how much power do you want to run to your subs? And do you plan on doing electrical upgrades? (1/0 wire, extra batteries, alternator, ect)

Cool, I'm not sure what is needed as far as electrical, back in my old set up I just had a cap, but AAA hated me cuz i would fry their batteries about every 8-12months and they'd have to give me a new one from warranty. As for power, I really dont know what is "normal" nowadays, and figured I'd match the amp to the sub after choosing the sub. maybe that's backwards, not sure.

i can help you with the whole system , but 2grand with a navi will be a bit hard unless you buy used .if you want new you'll need a bigger budget .the navi alone will be $700 or more new .also unless you plan on getting a bigger alt then 2000 watts rms will be you best option .also you'll need an amp for the frt components as well .you'll need an extra battery ,0 gauge amp kit extra rca's a mono block for subs ,2 or 4 channel for speakers ,components, deck ,dash kit ,harness ,box, and subs. how many subs and how big ?

That ^ audioque is having a holiday sale. Their Hdc3 subs are beast. Pair one of those with a AQ2200 and you'll be wangin.

AQ components too?

thanks for the feedback. Is there any particular reason to go AQ or is it just be3cause theyre on sale. Also, as for the 2k budget, ignore the speakers and 4channel amp for that

AQ products are already a steal at their retail price, the sale just adds gas to the fire //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

Id take a look at these brands... Incriminator audio, dc audio, sundown, SSA, Crescendo. Just a few great companies to throw out there.

Dude, a 2k budget for a sub stage is nuts bro.

What is your overall goal? SQ only, SPL only, Good balance of music and spl, ***** chicks, corn on the cob, root beer, etc.

jolly ranchers.

Blair009 ; i can help you with your system .and as some of the guys on the forum here can tell you i also give a pretty good bang for the buck.2000 for a sub stage and navi deck can be done from me all new with warranties in tact .
