hey guys, I'm new here, and I'm building my system slowly but surely. This will all be going in to a 2000, classic body style tahoe, I've got a Orion HCCA 12.4 SPEAKER, Memphis 1.6 Cu ft ported box, 1/0 gauge power ,and ground wires. Sony xav 64 BT DVD head unit, stock door speakers. Every thing is all installed, wires etc etc. Just waiting on my amp. My kicker zx 2500.1 will be here Tuesday. This is the newest model, Birth sheet show over 2,800 RMS I want to make 2800 true RMS power, I have stock alternator, and I have 2 big 1,000 CCA standard batteries. "Not audio batteries" My speaker is wired to 2 ohm already. What is my best budget way, to put down 2800rms safely? Should I just run 2 batteries? I hear so many mixed opinions, it will hurt your alt! It won't hurt your alt. Lol I'm looking to save some cash. And not go crazy. But, I will be using this every day.
