Now I need some help, I want to keep this sub around unlike the last one. I just want to make sure everything is tuned perfectly on my amp. I put the subsonic frequency up to 30 just to make sure nothing happened. I have the bass boost on 2 (out of 18). The low pass filter is on 200. The sensitivity is maxed out. On my headunit, the subwoofer value I leave between 10 and 15, depending on how loud I want to get. Bass value stays on 0 and BBE is on 3 (alpine cda-9856). I normally listen around 10-12 volume, so I can still hear something else besides bass, but occasionally if I feel like rocking my socks off ill hit 16-18, and thats the most i'll go.

normal listening volume @ 10-12 is just not right.... out of 35. that means your gains are too high. refer to the gain setting tutorial in the amp section.

my normal listening volume on my alpine is 23-27.

depends on your head unit, some clip at 3/4's and other can go a bit higher. I beleive my Alpine 9835 clips around 31 out of 35.. To the original poster, turn the gain down, it shouldn't be maxed out. The bass(sub volume) on your head unit should be at 15(it's not a bass boost),15 is where it puts out 4 volts, so its o.k to have your sub out at 15 out of 15.Reset your gain with the sub out at 15 and go from there.Turn the bass boost off, although 2 out of 18 aini't bad, but its better to have the bass boost at 0 and set the gains correctly, if you do, you won't need bass boost. Not to hijack your thread either but i finally installed my two 15 Mags off a kicker zx1500.1 and all i can say is wow, crazy loud. glad your happy and keep bumping. i play mine at 67 of 80, does just fine.
