New 9887 owner.. quick question

Well went and got my 9887 yesterday and installed earlier today. getting imprint tuned tomorrow. My opinion on the deck is that it is absolutely amazing compared to my old Pioneer 7700MP. So far the sound quality is amazing, cant wait to get the imprint tuned.

I have one question though.. is the quick search the only search feature? I know my friends 9886 is able to start at the Music menu then he can search through, say the artists, then find the specific song he wants to listen to. On mine all i can really do is scroll through the songs on the current playlist. And even then i cant see song titles?

Is there any way to change this? Thanks!
