a whole new type of aids
My friend wanted me to ugrade the stock sound system in his 2006 Lincoln LS, and I've been tasked with putting it together on a budget. He insisted on a flip out touchscreen which ate up a good bit of the money, so I was left with few options. He also insisted that everything be purchased new, and this is what I'm working with so far:
head unit: Clarion VRX585USB
comps: Rockford Fosgate T152S X2
subs: Kicker CompVR 07CVR124 X2
enclosure: custom, built to Kicker's specs
misc: Infinity Reference 1031t tweets & Infinity Reference 6022si coaxials (powered by the h.u)
amps: Temporarily using some Profiles that've been in my garage for a while.
I think the flip out, tweets and coaxials are a waste of money in this setup, but he wanted every factory location to have a speaker, and he simply wouldn't accept a normal cd player. It's his money, so I did what I was told.
Anyway, what I need help with is amps. There's $450 left in the budget, and I'd like to know what you guys would do in this situation. I was thinking about US Amps XTerminators, Fusion or Hifonics. All three will fit the budget, and I've had experience with the XTerminators and Hifonics in the past. Or maybe you guys can recommend some decent, budget friendly amps that I know nothing about.
Please keep in mind that I was working on a tight budget which was butchered by unrealistic expectations and useless equipment. And thanks for any advice...
