Sometimes you need to turn down the music quick and a volume knob is so much more useful.Seems like your budget is pretty good. Have you considered an Pioneer 80prs?  5volt pre out. Super clean. it is THE sound quality head unit. Its a single din and its effing gorgeous.you can get one for 250(if your lucky)-300.</blockquote>
