Need Help Plz <--- noob

I just installed a new system in my car heres the components...

a Clarion headunit DXZ945MP, Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1 for the front, and

Infinity Kappa 693.5i for the rear, it sounds ok with the volume level down but when i try too turn it up it sounds like the speakers shut off and on real quick like some kind of weird distortion and it ***** cause this hookup was kinda expensive for me and i had high expetations. the headunit has like 1million different sound settings that ive been messing with some sound better but I always get that horrible speaker cut off when i turn it up. are the kappas amped, or powered off the HU?

Youre not running enough power to the speakers...buy an amp.

Yeah the Kappas are powered from the HU

Running components off the HU = bad idea most of the time.

Yea uhh I don't know what you could do other than get an amp to run your components. Your adverage HU amp puts out 7-10 watts of half decent power. If your allready strapped for cash you dont need to power the speakers to their full RMS rating I'm not fammilair with the speakers your running but evan a smaller amp say 25-50 watts a channel would sound much nicer than your HU. I hope you get it figured out though, I know what thats like it shure can be a pain in the ass.
