Hey all, I have been doing some research on my own and decided on a set up, went to the local car audio dealer to quote an install price on stuff I would bring in and after a while he was trying to sell me their stuff. I know that is his job but he started to convince me and I wanted an opinion from people that aren't trying to make a buck. I have a 03 dodge quad cab and I planned on getting 2 Alpine Type-R 10s in a ported box made by fox acoustics because I heard that was the best box you could get outside of building a fiberglass box. I was going to power them with an Alpine MRX-110. They claim it has 1.35 cubic feet per sub but the dealer said there is no way they have that much because the customfit boxes they usually install only have about .6 cubic feet and he said they take up most of the area. Link below: DODGE QUAD & CREW CAB 2-10" VENTED They do not sell Alpine at this dealer. He recommended I get 2 Phoenix Gold SX 10" subs powered by their SX 600.1 amp in a sealed box they carry. I do like to thump every now and then but my main concern is sound quality.
