What do you mean barely beat San Antonio? They were up 3-1, they just had a typical Mavs choke session but they recoved.

Well then they barely beat San Antonio. It doesn't matter if they choked or not. They BARELY beat the Spurs......PERIOD.

I didn't watch any of the Mavs vs. Suns series but I did catch some of the Spurs vs. Mavs series and they seem to be somewhat one-dimensional when it comes down to crunch time in a tight game. Like in game 1 of that series they had a chance to tie the game with a 2 but Avery Johnson couldn't even draw up a play to score the tying bucket. The result was a wild 3 point attempt by Stackhouse. If the Mavs stay out of the tight games they should win the series. But if they allow the Heat to slow the tempo of the game down the series belongs to anybody.

Grats Mavs on making it to the finals! They definitely deserved it and picked up their defense, which always has seemed to lack the past years. Grats to their starting lineup and their bench as well. Avery Johnson definitely deserved coach of the year.

Mavs will be the 2006 champs game 5-6 vs Miami.

Thanks to all the members who gave me a good laugh by doubting the Mavs and calling Dirk "soft(like that is even an argument, he scored 50pts in game 5, soft or not, he owns)."

You can thank Jerry Sloan and the rest of the Jazz organization for that. They just couldn't build around Stockton and Malone good enough to build a champ. calibur team. Actually that isn't entirely true. They did but unfortunately they either had Magic and the Lakers to deal with or they had Jordan and the Bulls to deal with. I'm sorry to say that those teams were almost never beaten in a series.
