nation guard

National guard is a good stuff man. If you decide to join make sure you look around and talk to people to find out which unit is non-deployable. Join it and you're good to go. You have to go there 1 weekend a month and 2 weeks in summertime or whatever and thats it.

Depending on rank you'll make 200-600 per weekend. And they'll give you tuition free state cols and univs, free space A travel ( basically hop on the plane and go anywhere you want), dental insurance( 12$ month with limit 1500), different mil discounts, free state parks and many more.

Everything is great till one day you get your orders for federal active duty in some shithole across the world.

thanks for the input..all the other people talking sh1t prolly aint done nothing for their country and sit back and take there freedom for granted and probaly collect their welfare checks..but nice bike man haha

well if you're worried about being deployed and being shot, then don't go guard. the guard is the people that do all the fighting.

Army Reserve is the more tactical jobs. If you want real answers feel free to pm me and i'll answer whatever you want. I could go on for hours.

I was Active Duty Air Force for 7 years and have been in the Air Guard for 3 now. The guard paid for about $22,000 of my college, gave me a 15k enlistment bonus, and with my current rank, about $400 a drill weekend. I have not deployed in the last 3 years--just voluntereed for a couple of short tdy's to Guam and Reno Nevada. If you go Army Guard prepare to deploy!
