Possibly looking to buy a rockford amp in the $400 range, but dont want to buy from a sleazey
EBAY store
Can anyone give me some
ebay seller names to do business with? And are certified incase I need a repair. Or atleast trust worthy
Many manufactures will no honor the warranty for online purchases, even if the seller ultimately owns a physical store. This means that the "certified" part of your title may mean nothing even if the seller is a certified or authorized retailer. Buying on
ebay I would just assume that your only recourse is though the seller, unless you can get the manufacture to verify a different policy before you buy.
By saying "dont want ... sleazey" you mean you are looking for a warranty and a reasonable return/repair policy, you need carefully read the auction, and ask questions before you buy. In most cases on
ebay the answer is that "if it functions as described when you receive it, the transaction is over".
For one, look at the feedback system on
ebay. Don't be fooled by 97% positive and 20k transactions. That means that 3 out of 100 transactions have gone bad enough they were documented as non-positive.
Also look through the feedback a bit. Some people leave negative for silly things, like 1 day too long on shipping. Some people buy junk at cheap prices and then express disappointment. On the other hand, feedback about counterfeit product, complete lack of delivery, or DOA products make me think again.
I've bought from sonicelectronics with no complaints. The real test is how it would get handled if I had a complaint. I have not had to resolve an issue with them, so I just don't know.
