nothing else so perfectly describes this forum full of car audio tools when they try to discuss politics... I am always amazed at the ridiculousness of the comments I find in these threads. And its not even like its one opinion vs another opinion... oh no. That simple debate is FAR too advanced for this crowd. And the US has never shown a reason to not have a warhead. we have never threatened anyone with it....now of course im talking about modern day...when WE HAVE NO REASON to use it. yea if we have 100,000's of foreign troops on our turf we would threaten with one.......... The rest of the world has our back on this case.

you think so eh? then why is it estimated for them to take 10 more years just to perfect a warhead...... I dont think you or I have any idea of our capabilities...but I know its A LOT better than theirs.
Our biggest threat right now is Iran...their army is 3x the size of ours... W/O a draft. BUT their defenses arent nearly as good

The Chinese may (or may not ~ who's to know, really?) have a disadvantage vs. the US in regards to the technology of various armaments.
One inarguable fact is they by far have an incredible advantage in regards to sheer numbers. Monstrous amounts of manpower can easily be a deciding factor in a military conflict. I have no doubts that the Communist government there would throw wave upon wave upon wave of people until we were simply overrun should a real conflict ever arise between us and them. Kill 100 of them? They'll send 1000 more. Kill 1000 of them? They'll send 10,000 more. Kill 10,000 of them? They'll send 1,000,000 more.
When you have a population of over a billion the number of people their rulers would find easily expendable could be simply staggering.
Just a thought...
