Ok, so i saw an ad in my local paper for being a mystery shopper, and I thought it would be a good idea seeing as you can make $150 a day for doing some "mystery shopping." Is this **** real? or is it a scam and should i cancel my fee?

Does anyone have any experience with this?

Its real.

We had them come to a place where I worked and they are very easy to pick out b/c they ask you all kinds of questions and act very suspicious.

It is like checking on workers to see if they are doing a good job.

is it legit? i'm kind of worried ima get scammed or something

I can't say that whatever you're talking about is legitimate, but there really are mystery shoppers that are hired by the company. Basically, you go in and buy something, then come back later and return it, then write up a detailed review on the service you got.

It'll vary a little from place to place, but that's the basics of it.

A friend of mine did it, they give you money to go places and write reviews. Although there not going to hire some dumb 18 year old stoner. They mostly go for house wives and college students looking to make a few extra bucks.
i'm a 19 year old college student. i'm not a 18 year old stoner..

I know for a fact Mystery Shoppers do exist. I work in a retail store (Best Buy), and we get Mystery Shopped quite frequently. The Mystery shopper will approach the sales employee, and basically test you, but without you knowing it. They then report it to someone, who reports it to someone, and I know somehow my Supervisor finds out about it eventually and discusses the results with me.

Whether or not the specific ad you saw is legit or not, I am not sure. But, the profession does exist.

fucl{ it i just called back and canceled my subscription. sounds like too much work, and i doubt i would be making $50 an assignment like they told me. **** now they have my credit card #, so i guess ill be checking my balance frequently

x2...

they come a lot to the restaurant I work for and review the quality of food, service, cleanliness, etc....

My sister has done it and made some quick cash.. Easy to from what I understand.. I think she made like $500 extra a month

they give u the funds necessary to buy the items.
no, this is not how it's done. they give you a task, i.e - go to Store A buy 2 t-shirts. before making purchase ask associate about ...blah blah blah... after getting your answer make your purchase. after getting home fill out form attach receipt and fax to..

the payment is say $12 for the shop and 100% reimbursement for all related items purchased.

I just finished mystery shops at Gamestop to buy drinks from a new cooler that was put into a few select location. this is by far no way to make a living but a good way to make a couple (literally a couple) extra dollars and get some free stuff.
