So abunch of my friends and me have decided on Myrtle Beach for our senior trip. I talked them into renting a house instead of a condo seeing as a house you don't got to worry about neighbors and stuff AS much. Looked on a few sites for houses to rent for a week but anyone with experience in renting homes in Myrtle Beach or Hilton Head where did you rent from?

Everyone goes there because you live in NC. Everyone here goes to Florida which I don't see awhole lot of appeal to.

I live about 2 hours from Myrtal, you don't want to go there. Check our Virginia beach or just goto Florida, if your set on going to the Carolina's check our the Outer Banks, get a small boat and go island hopping! (I've been to West Palm, the Keys, VA beach, OBX, and Myrtal is by far the worst)... Myrtal is overrated by tourists, its poor, trashy, and over priced.

If you're planning to come to MB, check out the rentals in Cherry Grove. There are plenty of rentals there, it's still right on the beach, and you'd be only 10 minutes north of Myrtle. Not crowded, MUCH cheaper, and a LOT less crime, which also means a lot less azzhole cops.

I actually love myrtle beach, it has been a second home to me, and they have been doing alot of work to clean up the town, like tearing down the pavillion. Not sure why you would want to go there for your senior trip though, alot better places out there. Not much for partying, compared to places like south beach.

We own a condo down there, so I can't give you any advice on renting a house, but I know that there is plenty to do there to keep you busy, but you may be disapointed with the nightlife, compared to large places like miami, or southbeach.

It's still pretty crazy though, and it will take you hours to cruise the strip on a friday night, and you will see plenty of boobies.

and if your going to party, don't stay in cherry grove, that is a old person/golf community.

If you do go, you should check out little river's gambling boats, you go out into international waters and gamble, cheap way of getting hammered if you know how to gamble properly

Must be 21 to get on the casino boat. Tearing down the Pavillion wasn't a great idea to clean up the city, it was just one more way to try to keep the tourists from coming here. People have been coming here for generations for the Pavillion. Little by little all the things that drew people here are being removed. The city just enacted a helmet law during Bike week. And in a state that has no helmet law. Is this illegal? Yes, by federal standards, it is. But they did it, to get more revenue from those who are dumb enough to still come here for Bike week, and to keep the bikers from coming. They're trying to kill the tourism industry here.
