My XXX TRIED to KILL ME!!!

I have pics in my gallery for pitoral references.

But my box is a wedge, but it's not on the wedge part. I don't know if that has anything to do to improve the bass response.

Then i ported is with 2 3" round and flexible ports each 18" long. So at around 2.3 Vol, it's tuned between 28-29Hz.

It's still loud, but hits deep too, feel it in my chest. It's REAL clean, hits like it was sealed. It hit 20 Hz, will have a video up soon.

What kind of music u listen too?

Also might have to do with my trunk, realll tight. When i drop the seats in the back it increases by a LOT!

I wish I could get mine to sound like that, mine just is god-awful loud and deep.

exactly. bmw trunks are the worst cars for SPL.

How big do you think I should make the sealed box then, I think that the .8 is a little too small and someone sugested that I go with a 1.69 cube's, that would leave about 1.5 cube's after displacement. Im not sure what I sould do. Please Advise

what size do you have? In any case, use the sealed box size listed on there site. I have heard a 15XXX in the recommended sealed 2cuft box and it sounded really nice. RE put some good effort in to finding out what works best for each woofer. I would shoot them an email asking them what size they recommend.

i know exactly what the XXX is capable of, and i dont want to see someones prized possession stolen. Thats why I kept mine and everything else got sold.

And wedge, yes i do have a holier than thou attitude cuz thats exactly what i am... holier than everyone.

Its exactly the same as the 2003 recommendations. The only thing changed is chrome added to the motor.

The site says for the 12XXX it looks for about 0.8cuft after sub displacement.

thats way too small, go with a 2 cube sealed enclosure and GET THAT Q DOWN!!!!!!!

No wonder so many people say this sub has less low end than the brahma!!! Trying to put a sub that requires a "large" sealed enclosure into a REALLy small sealed will do nothing but eliminate its low end.......duh. I even talked to Scott at RE and he admitted the reason teh recommend the small enclosures on these is because the enclosures they need are so big that they will turn people off from buying them. He told me to go ahead and use a 4 cube sealed enclosure on the 15" and still even bigger if I have the room. Scott is the engineer over there by the way.

The alignment on most of these enclosures with the sub is like .91 or higher!!!!!! even in 4 cubes I will still only be at a .77 or so, which is still .7 higher than the standard BUT cabin gain will increase low end so a bit higher alignment than .7 is good for a car. BUT NOT .91 jeez
