My receiver did not come with a power antenna wire and now the antenna doesn't extend

Is there a way to improve my tuner reception without that power antenna wire? My other receiver came with one, but my Pioneer DEH-P7000BT did not come with a power antenna wire. When I switch the source to Tuner, the radio doesn't get any reception...

Do I have to completely replace the antenna?

Thanks in advance.

The receiver harness only had 2 extra wires.

One was a yellow/black for the Mute function.

Second was a blue/white for the control terminal of the power amp or auto-antenna relay control terminal. (I used this second one to power the Clarion amp that came with my 94 Nissan Maxima. When I didn't have it connected to the amp wire, my rear speakers had no sound. However, now the rear speakers have static... hahaha).

So the only free wire is the yellow/black wire.

Should I have connected the power antenna AND the amp wires to the blue/white that came with the receiver?

Thanks for the replies.

I say go to the ACC/switched for the hu itself

I have a similar HU from Pioneer. I had a cheap sony deck in before and antenna worked, after installing the pio never worked, well I mean mine would always go up, even if it was on cd/aux. I had to get a switch, maybe thatll help you? Hook it up to the rem that goes into the hu, but hook it up *before* it connects to the amp, or else the switch will also affect the amp

If i am understanding that correctly YES connect power antenna and amp wires to the blue and white wire. If its to much strain for the remote than you need to hook up a relay.
