because that was recommended to me by a highly regarded guy here in my town, i didn't build a sealed enclosure just for the heck of it. i built it to see the pro's and con's of both type of enclosures in the same car with the same power using the same subs. in reality the boxs are extremely close in size but due to port space on the ported box the net displacements are that much different. Also, i'm putting together a workshop in cooperation with the highly regarded builder here in my town to educate ppl who can't really afford to buy the top equip. and installs. i'm using my car as a guinea pig of sorts to show that it doesn't take thousands of dollars to play this game. if anyone wants to critisize me---feel free to let it all out here and i'll do my best to give my reasons. i'm not into competitions or anything like that so my install is totally for me guys. And i'm certainly not against trying things for myself instead of following others blindly, i like to hear the differences in person, not just read it on my monitor.
