My New Infinity Kappa 4x6's plates Sound Terrible!! Please Help

It's very common to only amplify the front speakers. In fact, I don't even have rear speakers. I recommended the 400SX because it will push the speakers to their full potential. The 200 and 100SX will work, but you wouldn't betting the most out of the speakers.

Might have something to do with the Ohm loading. If your Kappa's are this model, they are presenting the HU with a 2 Ohm load. Not good, as most oem speakers are between 4 to 12 Ohms. You'll certainly need an amp that is 2 Ohm stable (easy to find, as almost all multi channel amps are) or replace them with 4 Ohm speakers.

Here are some alternatives to consider:

Kicker DS

Pioneer 4641R

Kicker KS

PG RSd

Pioneer 4670R

Or if you can fit 5x7/6x8's in there (including mount depth):

Kicker DS

Kicker KS

Alpine Type R

Eclipse SE

Polk MOMO

Third option:

Fabricate an adapter out of MDF board to fit in a 5.25 or 6.5 round, and you will open up a whole 'nother world of possibilities.

I don't think it has anything to do with the ohm loading. It's the driver distorting because of it's size and bass it's trying to pump out.

Those 4x6's are great options and probably the easiest way to get good sound in your car.
