My new DC lvl 4 xl 10''

try it in 1ft^3@33.5hz and let me know how it sounds //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
I can't. The aeros would be 30'' long probably. Maybe I'll make another box sometime down the road and see what I can come up with.

I've tried a single 3'' aero firing into the passenger's corner and it wasn't nearly as loud as a single 3'' or a pair of 3'' firing up. Jbgabriel has a buddy with the same truck as me and his box is in the same exact spot as mine....and he has a 10'' HDC3 with a external 4'' aero firing towards the driver's side and he said it's nuts. But he only has one amp in there and I have two, so I don't have the room to do that. I'll put up a picture of how my amps are mounted in a min.

Edit: My sister's camera is dead right now so let me charge it up and I'll put the pics up later.

Well I put it in today and it hammers the lows and gets loud. But the higher frequencies sound like there is really bad distortion or something slapping the cone when the bass hits. Subsonic is at 30, LPF is at 60, gain is set conservatively, box is 1.6@36. There's a good chance that there is an airleak but do you think it could be something else that is wrong with it?

Here are some crappy cell phone pics

Does anyone know why it sounds like distortion on the higher frequencies? Is that what happens when there is an airleak?

What songs sound distorted?why not just fix the air leak?
The box was thrown together half-assed and I didn't take my time like I should have. I put together the bottom, back, sides, and top a couple days before I cut the baffle. By the time I got around to cutting the baffles and angle cuts on the baffles (truck style box) the top of the box wasn't square anymore and I was getting a crappy seal. I caulked all over the box and I'm sure there was still an airleak somewhere. I'm going back down to school tomorrow so I won't be able to build a new box for a few weeks. I just want to make sure it isn't something wrong with the sub. I took it out of the box and pushed/pulled on the cone and there are no noises at all.

can you make a video of the noise?
I should have done that but I don't have any working cameras at my parents house right now, that's why I had to use my cell phone for pics. But I took the sub out and put the box on the side of the house next to the garbage cans earlier today anyways. It sounds like a "tapping" on the cone and a lot of distortion. And when the lower notes come the noise isn't there but it sounds like I'm getting some port noise too. But I definitely shouldn't be getting port noise because I'm using a pair of 3'' aeroports which is exactly what I used for my 10'' BL and got 0 port noise.
