Message: <blockquote data-quote="Moocow16" data-source="post: 657583" data-attributes="member: 544616"><p>screw it, get a 9800 pro for around $200 and save yourself the money. i bought mine for $220 off newegg, works like a charm. and yes of course there are better cards out there now, x800 platinum and the x850 and whatnot, but that doesn't mean the "lower end" cards are shit. the 9800 pro was top of the line a year ago, and games now aren't that much advanced (except for doom3) that you'll see a dramatic decrease in graphic quality. and even still, i've played doom 3 with my 9800 pro and it worked fine. sure i couldn't turn the graphics up all the way but it still looked sweet and played at 60fps. also, you really don't need 2gb of ram. 1gb would suffice perfectly fine and be a lot cheaper. hell i use 512mb ram and i've been able to play every game perfectly fine, mine isn't even dual channel</p></blockquote><p></p>
